Sabak Bernam is situated in the northwestern part of Selangor.According to oral sources, the origins of the name Sabak Bernam comes from the word "Sahabat Berenam" which tells about six friends venturing up the river but was stopped by timber across the river. With the efforts of six friends eventually the timber can be transferred. Because the incident involved the place finally named as Sahabat Bernam and eventually evolved into Sabak Bernam. It is the main area for paddy plantation in Selangor. There are 6 homestays that participate in promoting kampung lifestyle.

1. Homestay Papitusulem
The unique name of PAPITUSULEM  come from javanese language which is 'Parit Pitu Sungai Leman'. It can be translate as Parit 7 Sg.Leman. Tousrist can experience fishing eel, kayak, and other traditional activity. 3 different packages available are Sudi mampir (1 day), Dulur (2 days 1 night) and Serasi (3 days 2 night). 2. Homestay Batu 23 Sg. Nibong
For this homestay, visitor can enjoy the beauty of the see and the tranquility of the village. People can experience various activities for just RM45-RM60. You can visit paddy field, chicken farm, small-medium industry even enjoying sunset while taking the boat. As for student, special rate is available at RM30. Beside that, Nibong Resort is another alternative to enjoy your visit. For medium room it only cost RM70 per night while family room is RM90. You can call the number below for further information.

3. Homestay Sg. Hj. Dorani
 Dorani Homestay actively receive tourists and visitors. En Yatim Basris house, Kampung Parit 2, Sungai Haji Dorani, is the Centre House and serve as a meeting point. There are 30 houses with 30 rooms which some of them are equipped with televisions and fans for visitors’ convenience. Some of the attraction that you can exeperience are visiting honey mango farm and Nata de Coco factory. Besides, you can also do batik making ,bahulu making and banana chips making. For the cost of staying, it range between RM70 to RM200 per night depending on your choice whether it is a chalet or rumah kampung. 4. Homestay Air Manis
This homestay provides a chalet in the middle of paddy field. It will gives memorable experience to the tourist. You can experience harvesting activity, eating Nasi Ambeng and gogoh (catching fish with bare hand). Various alternatives are available for staying. People can choose to stay with villagers, or rent a chalet (RM150) per night. Other than that, you can rent a Semi D villa (RM150), or 5 bedrooms bungalow (RM200). 5. Homestay Sepintas
It is situated at Batu 4 Sepintas. The village surrounded by coconut tress, banana trees and palm oil. Villagers are warm and friendly. Parents allow their children to play and hang around without concern so much about safety. The sense of trust and caring attract people to be part of this kampung lifestyle. You can enjoy the environment by taking bicycle and motorcycle. Most of the villagers are

6. Homestay Seri Kayangan
Tourist always mesmerize by the beauty of paddy field. Tourist can choose from the package whether to experience the fishing trip or to enjoy the scenery of Malay village. For 1 day trip, it would cost you RM75. If you are planning to stay for a night, the cost would be RM150. For 3 days 3 night package, RM220 would be charge to the visitor. Student trip with minimum 20 person, RM60 will be charge per person. to experience the fishing trip at 'kelong' RM300 is the cost for minimum 6 person that includes the boat fare and others.
